Netflix Is Dropping The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, a Prequel Game to the Upcoming Movie

Netflix is launching a prequel puzzle game, The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, to coincide with the release of their upcoming sci-fi adventure film, The Electric State. This retro-futuristic puzzle game, developed by BUCK Games (creators of Let's! Revolution!) in collaboration with AGBO, will be available on March 18th, just days after the film's March 14th debut.

More Than Just a Movie Tie-in

Unlike a simple movie adaptation, Kid Cosmo serves as a prequel, delving into the childhoods of key characters Chris and Michelle through a unique game-within-a-game structure. Set in 1985 Wichita, Kansas, the game unfolds over five years, offering a deeper understanding of their journey before the events depicted in the film.

Players will embark on puzzle-solving adventures reminiscent of the WarioWare series, but with a distinct 80s aesthetic. Gameplay involves collecting modules, repairing Kid Cosmo's ship, and solving puzzles to uncover the mysteries of this strange world. View the trailer below for a sneak peek.
