Both CNET Japan and the Sankei newspaper reported Nintendo's confirmation that the images and videos circulating are unofficial. The company explicitly stated that Genki's displayed hardware is not an official Nintendo Switch 2 and was never provided by them.

Genki, an American manufacturer of electronics and video game console accessories (controllers, SSDs, chargers, etc.), generated significant buzz by showcasing the mockup and reportedly sharing alleged release date information with attendees. Their website even features a dedicated page for prospective Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, complete with an animated mockup of the console.

Despite Genki's claims, Nintendo maintains radio silence on concrete details regarding the Switch 2, only promising an official announcement in the near future.
