Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack: Four Classic Games Join the Roster

Action, Racing, Puzzles, and Dodgeball!

Prepare for a nostalgic trip back to the early 90s! Nintendo has unveiled four SNES titles, offering diverse gameplay experiences for subscribers. Expect intense beat 'em up action, adrenaline-pumping racing, challenging puzzles, and a hilarious dodgeball showdown.

First up: the epic crossover, Battletoads/Double Dragon. This legendary mashup pits the brawling Battletoads against the Double Dragon brothers in a fight against the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Choose from five playable characters, including Billy and Jimmy Lee (Double Dragon) and the amphibian trio, Zitz, Pimple, and Rash (Battletoads).

Originally released on NES in June 1993 and ported to SNES in December of the same year, this marks a long-awaited re-release for this classic.

Next, get ready for some dodgeball mayhem in Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (known as Super Dodgeball in the West). Featuring Kunio-kun from the River City series, dominate the court against global rivals. Various indoor and outdoor arenas offer unique challenges.

This Super Famicom classic originally launched in August 1993.

Puzzle enthusiasts will be thrilled with Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. Similar to Tetris and Puyo Puyo, strategically clear lines of containers and Cosmos to score big. Three modes await: 1P Mode (solo high score challenge), VS Mode (head-to-head competition), and 100 Stage Mode (increasing difficulty). Line up containers horizontally and utilize blue orbs to remove Cosmos.

Initially released in arcades in 1992, it later appeared on Super Famicom, and various platforms including Wii, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.

Finally, experience high-octane racing in Big Run. Race across challenging African terrain, from Tripoli to West Africa's swamps, across nine intense stages. Strategic choices, resource management, and team selection are crucial for victory.

Big Run originally debuted on Super Famicom in 1991.
