Pokémon Go Tests Go Pass in Select Regions

Apr 16,2025 Author: Gabriel

Get ready for a new way to earn rewards in Pokémon Go with the introduction of the Go Pass, currently being tested in select regions. Following the success of the Tour Pass during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova, this new feature is set to go global soon. If you're lucky enough to be in one of the eligible areas, you can dive into the Go Pass: April and snag a variety of goodies.

Battle passes are all the rage these days, and now Pokémon Go is jumping on the bandwagon. From April 1st to May 6th, you can earn Go Points to level up your pass and unlock an array of rewards. These include encounters with Xerneas, along with essential items like Stardust, XP, and Poké Balls.

The Go Pass is free for everyone, but if you're looking for even more exciting bonuses, the Go Pass Deluxe is your ticket to premium rewards. This includes a Lucky Trinket, Candy XL, and a host of useful items such as Incubators and Lure Modules. You can upgrade to Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from the ranks you've already unlocked.

As you advance through the Go Pass, you'll hit Major Milestones that offer additional perks. At Tier one, you'll enjoy an extended duration for Daily Adventure Incense. Tier two boosts XP and Stardust from Research Breakthroughs, while Tier three increases Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs. And for the grand finale, the Deluxe reward includes another Lucky Trinket, ensuring you can guarantee a Lucky Friend.

Keep in mind that since the Go Pass is still in its testing phase, the rewards and structure might differ across regions. Some areas might offer different encounters, adjusted item rewards, or even PokéCoins at certain ranks. These variations will help Niantic perfect the system before its broader release.

If you're in an eligible region, this is your golden opportunity to experience the Go Pass before it goes global. Be sure to claim all your earned rewards by May 8th, and don't forget to use your Lucky Trinket before it expires on May 11th!
