Dynamax Legendary Pokemons Taking Flight Within Three Weeks

Featuring the Iconic Trio: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres

From January 20 to February 3, the colossal forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will grace the skies of Pokemon GO. These legendary birds will be available to challenge and capture in five-star Max Battles at Power Spots. Each bird will make its grand entrance on consecutive Mondays within this period. Here's the schedule for their appearances:

• Dynamax Articuno: January 20
• Dynamax Zapdos: January 27
• Dynamax Moltres: February 3

Following their initial debuts, these legendary birds will be available for a full week after their release. Additionally, the "Legendary Flight Timed Research" will offer players the chance to catch various Pokemon, some of which have a high chance of being Shiny, ideal for battling these legendary birds. You'll also earn Candy and Max Particles to power up your team. Here's the schedule for this special Timed Research, in your local time:

• Dynamax Articuno: January 17 at 10:00 am - January 20 at 7:00 pm (Charmander, Beldum, Scorbunny)
• Dynamax Zapdos: January 24 at 10:00 am - January 27 at 7:00 pm (Drilbur, Cryogonal, Grookey)
• Dynamax Moltres: January 31 at 10:00 am - February 3 at 7:00 pm (Squirtle, Krabby, Sobble)

Victory Pokemon, Victini, Obtainable Once Again

Pokemon GO has also updated the details for the Pokemon GO Tour: Unova's global event. While not all players can attend the in-person event, the Pokemon GO team has announced that players worldwide can upgrade their free Tour Pass to a Tour Pass Deluxe for enhanced rewards and faster progression.

On February 24, 2025, at 10:00 am, all Pokemon GO players will receive their free Tour Pass, enabling them to "collect Tour Points and rank up to get additional rewards through the end of the event on Sunday, March 2, at 6:00 p.m. local time."

Upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe offers immediate encounters with the Mythical Pokemon Victini and the chance to obtain a new item, the Lucky Trinket, upon reaching the highest tier. The Lucky Trinket allows you to set your status with a friend to Lucky Friends, facilitating the trade of a Lucky Pokemon with boosted stats and a lower power-up cost. This status is cleared after the trade, making it a unique opportunity to secure a powerful Pokemon.

The Tour Pass Deluxe and Tour Pass Deluxe + 10 Ranks bundles are available for $14.99 USD and $19.99 USD, respectively. Be sure to claim your rewards before they expire on March 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
