The Space-Time Smackdown expansion is notably larger than the previous Mythical Island mini-set, which debuted in December 2024. This expansion boasts over 140 cards split into two new booster packs: Dialga and Palkia. It introduces the innovative concept of Pokémon Tools, inspired by the physical TCG, alongside Sinnoh-themed cards featuring iconic characters such as Dialga ex, Palkia ex, and the Sinnoh starters—Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. Additionally, the long-awaited trading card feature is now live in-game, having been released on January 29, 2025. This tool is designed to transform how players collect and manage their cards within the game.
It’s worth noting that the new cards from the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will not be tradeable upon the system’s initial launch. This ensures players can build a stronger collection before the expansion officially opens for trading.
