miHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Makes Strong PS5 Debut, Joining Top Played Games
miHoYo, the studio behind the hugely successful Genshin Impact, continues its PlayStation dominance with the new action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero. The multi-platform launch has seen ZZZ climb the ranks of popular PS5 titles.
Zenless Zone Zero, a free-to-play live-service action RPG, has quickly established itself on PlayStation. Circana's "US Player Engagement Tracker Top 10 Titles" report, released recently, placed ZZZ in the top 10 most popular PlayStation games, alongside established heavyweights like Elden Ring and Minecraft. The ranking is based on weekly user engagement, not playtime.
Launched on July 4th, ZZZ's initial impact was significant. It secured the #12 spot in the PS5 Top 40 most-played games chart during its launch week. Furthermore, PocketGamer.biz reported nearly $52 million in gross mobile player spending ($36.4 million net) within the game's first 11 days, peaking at $7.4 million on July 5th on the App Store and Google Play.
While not yet matching the overall success of miHoYo's other titles, ZZZ's performance is impressive, placing it among gaming giants like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Roblox. On the Epic Games Store, it boasts a 4.5/5 star rating, with players praising its engaging boss battles and compelling narrative.
