Rivals Update 9: Gunblade and Bridge Map Added, Ranked Mode Coming Soon

The popular first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience Rivals has officially launched Update 9, bringing fresh content in the form of the versatile Gunblade weapon and the brand-new Bridge map.

In today’s patch notes, developer Nosniy Games outlined the latest additions, offering a concise yet impactful update that serves as a bridge between major content drops. While this release is smaller compared to previous updates, it introduces gameplay elements designed to keep players engaged and excited for what’s next.

Rivals has always drawn players in with its fast-paced FPS mechanics and robust arsenal—so the introduction of the Gunblade feels like a natural fit. This unique hybrid weapon functions both as a rifle and a large melee blade, allowing for dynamic combat strategies. Whether you’re keeping enemies at a distance or closing in for a surprise strike, the Gunblade adds a new layer of versatility to your loadout. It pairs especially well with the newly added Bridge map, where close-quarters action dominates the battlefield.

Bridge is a compact, concrete arena suspended in the heart of Seoul, crafted by creator @GreatGuyBoom. The layout offers minimal cover, pushing players into intense confrontations from the very start. With only a few walls and a central bus to hide behind, every match on Bridge becomes a test of reflexes and positioning.

While Update 9 focuses primarily on new content, the patch notes confirm there are no bug fixes, balance adjustments, or quality-of-life improvements included this time around. According to the developers, this decision was made intentionally to prioritize the rollout of the Gunblade and Bridge map. However, minor tweaks were applied to the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins, while the Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap received name changes to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed wrap respectively.

Looking ahead, the team teased the arrival of one of the most anticipated features yet: Ranked mode. In a recent message to the community, Nosniy Games emphasized their commitment to delivering essential updates and improvements in preparation for Ranked’s launch.

Since its debut last May, Rivals has maintained a steady stream of content updates. Previous versions like Update 7 introduced weapons such as the Energy Rifle, Energy Pistol, and Crossbow, continually expanding the game’s depth.
