Rumor: Zenless Zone Zero Leak Reveals Duration of Future Patch Cycles

Zenless Zone Zero's Extended Patch Cycle: A Leak Reveals Future Updates

Recent leaks suggest Zenless Zone Zero's current patch cycle will extend beyond initial expectations, concluding with Version 1.7 before transitioning to Version 2.0. This contrasts with other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, which concluded their first cycles at Version 1.6. This extended cycle indicates a significant content roadmap for the popular RPG.

Despite launching less than a year ago, Zenless Zone Zero has consistently delivered new features and characters, solidifying its position in the gaming market. The game's success is evident in its nomination for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards and its successful collaboration with McDonald's.

A reliable leaker, Flying Flame, predicts the following patch cycle structure:

  • Version 1.7, followed by Version 2.0
  • Version 2.8, followed by Version 3.0

This extended plan, if accurate, promises a substantial amount of future content. Further fueling this anticipation is a separate leak from the same source, revealing plans for 31 additional characters. With the current roster standing at 26 playable units, this signifies a considerable expansion of the game's character pool.

The upcoming Version 1.5 update is highly anticipated, introducing two new S-Rank units: Astra Yao and Evelyn. Astra Yao is rumored to be a strong support character, prompting players to begin farming necessary materials in advance. Version 1.5 will also feature a new main story chapter, a fresh area, and various events.

The recently released Version 1.4 update, while introducing the powerful Hoshimi Miyabi, faced some initial criticism regarding potential censorship. However, HoYoverse swiftly addressed these concerns, resolving the issue and compensating affected players. Version 1.4 is projected to conclude at the end of January.
