Get ready for an exciting new chapter in Monster Hunter Now with the launch of Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, kicking off on March 6th, 2025. Niantic has revealed a plethora of thrilling updates and features for this upcoming season, ensuring that hunters have plenty to look forward to.
Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5
Before the official launch of Season 5, you can get a head start with the early arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its grand debut before it appears in Monster Hunter Wilds. Once the season begins, you'll also encounter Glavenus and Arzuros, adding more variety to your hunting adventures.
Weapon balance is a key focus for Season 5, with adjustments designed to enhance the viability and enjoyment of every weapon type. The Sword & Shield is receiving a significant buff, making it easier to target breakable parts like tails. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward well-timed taps with enhanced performance, leading to more satisfying combos.
The Guard skill is also getting a much-needed upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard had minimal impact, but now, higher skill levels will significantly reduce the damage taken when blocking. More detailed tweaks will be unveiled in the full patch notes on March 6th.
And There Is More!
If you're struggling with inventory management, Season 5 brings good news. An Item Box Expansion will be available as a Supply Item, providing an additional 250 slots to help you organize your gear more effectively.
As part of Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-Year Anniversary celebration on March 17th, a new feature will be introduced. This feature allows you to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for fantastic rewards. Look forward to acquiring Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
