Unlocking the Preserves Jar in Stardew Valley

The Preserves Jar, crucial for making Jelly (along with Pickles, Caviar, and Aged Roe), is unlocked in two ways:

• Community Center: Complete the Quality Crops Bundle by donating three gold-quality crops (pumpkins, melons, corn, or parsnips) – five of each selected crop.
• Farming Level 4: Reach farming level 4.

Once obtained, you can use the Preserves Jar to make jelly from various fruits, including Spice Berries. These berries are found in the Summer season outdoors, in the Farm Cave year-round, or grown from Summer Seeds in the Greenhouse.

Making Spice Berry Jelly in Stardew Valley

Crafting Spice Berry Jelly is a simple process:

1. Gather Spice Berries: Find them during Summer, in the Farm Cave, or grow them from seeds.
2. Obtain a Preserves Jar: Craft it (50 Wood, 40 Stone, 8 Coal) or receive it as a reward for completing the Quality Crops Bundle.
3. Create the Jelly: Place Spice Berries into the Preserves Jar. This takes two to three in-game days (54 hours). The jar will pulse while the jelly is being made.
4. Collect Your Jelly: Once ready, the Spice Berry Jelly icon appears above the jar. Collect it and enjoy! Each jar sells for 160g or can restore energy.
