Triangle Strategy Returns to Nintendo Switch eShop
Good news for RPG fans! Triangle Strategy is back on the Nintendo Switch eShop after a temporary removal. The popular Square Enix title's brief absence from the online store, lasting several days, is speculated to be related to Square Enix recently acquiring the publishing rights from Nintendo.
This tactical RPG, lauded for its classic gameplay reminiscent of Fire Emblem, had previously been a notable release for Square Enix. The game's return was announced via a company tweet, though no official explanation was given for the delisting.

The reappearance of Triangle Strategy on the eShop follows a similar, albeit shorter, delisting incident last year involving Octopath Traveler. Unlike Octopath Traveler's several-week absence, Triangle Strategy's hiatus lasted only four days.
This event highlights the ongoing, positive relationship between Square Enix and Nintendo. This partnership is evident in past releases, including the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series (initially a Switch exclusive) and the original release of Dragon Quest XI on the Switch. While Square Enix has expanded to other platforms, the company's history of releasing console exclusives, dating back to the original Final Fantasy on the NES, continues with titles like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (currently PlayStation 5 exclusive). The return of Triangle Strategy is welcome news for fans of both companies.
