S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the eagerly awaited open-world FPS from GSC Game World, has faced another delay. Originally set to launch on September 5, 2024, the game will now be available on November 20, 2024. This decision comes after a push for enhanced quality control and thorough bug testing.
GSC Game World’s Game Director, Yevhen Grygorovych, explained the delay, saying, "We understand that you might be weary of waiting, and we deeply appreciate your patience. These additional two months will allow us to address more unexpected anomalies—or as you might call them, bugs."
Grygorovych also expressed his gratitude for the community's support, stating, "We are incredibly thankful for your continued support and understanding—it truly means the world to us. We are just as eager as you are to finally release the game and for you to experience it firsthand."
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. enthusiasts won't have to wait long for more updates, as GSC Game World has scheduled a Developer Deep Dive in partnership with Xbox for August 12, 2024. This event will feature a range of exclusive content, including interviews, behind-the-scenes looks at the development process, new gameplay footage, and a detailed video walkthrough of one of the game's story quests.
