The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors set to clash at Capcom Cup XI. While the world's best players are undoubtedly exciting, let's delve into the character choices that shaped the World Warrior circuit.
EventHubs has compiled compelling statistics on the most popular Street Fighter 6 characters at the highest level of competition, offering a valuable glimpse into the game's balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation among the nearly 200 players analyzed (data compiled from eight regional finalists across 24 regions). However, the data reveals some surprising disparities; only one player opted for Ryu, and even the newly introduced Terry Bogard only attracted two players.
Dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each selected as a main character by 17 players. A significant gap separates this top tier from the next group: Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (11 each), and JP and Chun-Li (10 each). Among the less frequently chosen characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each selected by seven players.
Capcom Cup XI will take place this March in Tokyo, with the champion securing a coveted million-dollar prize.
