The Pokémon Company has acknowledged the issue, stating they are working at maximum capacity to reprint the affected products as quickly as possible. While fans may experience delays, the company assures increased stock is underway.

The unexpected surge in demand disproportionately impacted smaller, local US stores. Distributors, facing overwhelming orders, significantly reduced allocations to these retailers (by 10-15%), prioritizing larger chains like GameStop and Target.
