Ticket to Ride: Switzerland Expansion Brings New Routes and Challenges!

The popular digital board game, Ticket to Ride, now features a brand new Switzerland expansion, opening up exciting new routes and gameplay mechanics. This expansion introduces country-to-country connections, adding a strategic layer to building your railroad empire. Players can now connect Switzerland with its neighboring countries, creating diverse and challenging paths to victory.

Beyond new locations, the Switzerland expansion also includes two new playable characters and four new route tokens, perfect for holiday gaming. Developer Marmalade Games designed this expansion as a festive gift for Ticket to Ride fans, adding both new locations and strategic depth. The updated gameplay is intended to be engaging for both seasoned players and newcomers, encouraging dynamic and adaptable strategies.

The core of the new gameplay revolves around country-to-country tickets, requiring players to link specific countries indicated on the ticket. These tickets offer multiple connection options, for example, connecting France to Germany, Italy, or Austria, each awarding a different point value upon completion. Careful planning is key, as each country has a limited number of connection points. City-to-country tickets offer a similar challenge, but involve connecting a city to a country.

Scoring is based on the highest-value completed connection for each ticket. However, failure to complete a connection results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.

The Switzerland Expansion is currently available on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with releases on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox coming soon. Stay updated on all things Ticket to Ride by following Marmalade Games on Facebook and Instagram.
