For newcomers, here's what you need to know: As an Archer, your most effective strategy is to maintain a safe distance from enemies and rely on your arrows to deal damage. While Archers can inflict significant damage, they are not built to withstand it.
Archers wear Medium armor, which offers more protection than Light armor but less than Heavy armor. Unlike Light armor-wearing Magicians or Priests, Archers lack protective spells or heavy armor. Instead, they depend on others, particularly their Pets, to absorb damage.
Tamed Pets are crucial for Archers. Initially, your pet options may be limited, but as you progress, Archers gain access to unique pets unavailable to other classes, enhancing their power and versatility.
At Level 30, Archers, like all classes in Rune Slayer, can choose a subclass. Opt for Beast Tamer over Sharpshooter. While the idea of firing multiple arrows sounds appealing, the Alpha Predator passive ability exclusive to Beast Tamers is far more beneficial. This ability allows you to tame unique beasts like Bears, Adult Spiders, Crocodiles, and Mud Crabs, making Beast Tamers exceptionally resilient and capable of soloing many group activities.
