Blizzard recently unveiled new character select screen customization options. Patch 11.1 allows players to set up multiple camps, each customizable with names and unlockable backgrounds. The Public Test Realm (PTR) has given players a closer look at this system, revealing the initial four campsites and their unlock methods. New Campsites in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1
Campsite | Description | Unlock |
---|
Ohn'ahran Overlook | Centaur camp in the Ohn'ahran Plains | Logging in after Patch 11.1 |
Freywold Spring | Hot spring in Freywold Village, Isle of Dorn | "All That Khaz" completion meta-achievement from *The War Within* |
Cultists' Quay | Nightfall Sanctum Delve in Hallowfall | Season 2 Delver's Journey |
Gallagio Grand Gallery | Gallywix's casino in Undermine | "Racing to a Revolution" completion meta-achievement from *Undermined* |

The Ohn'ahran Overlook (featuring the Ohn'ahran Plains from Dragonflight) is unlocked simply by logging in after Patch 11.1. The Cultists' Quay (located in the Nightfall Sanctum Delve in Hallowfall) is earned through the Season 2 Delver's Journey. Freywold Spring (from Freywold Village) and the Gallagio Grand Gallery (from the Liberation of Undermine raid) require completing the "All That Khaz" and "Racing to a Revolution" meta-achievements, respectively.
These campsites and their unlock methods are accessible via a new tab in the Collections pane, allowing players to preview and unlock them easily. The character select screen now features a dedicated campsite tab, enabling players to choose their preferred campsite or randomize their selection.
This customization expands upon the Warbands system, showcasing Blizzard's commitment to enhancing this feature. Players can anticipate more campsites, alongside other collectibles, to be added in future updates – potentially through new content, old areas, holiday events, the Trading Post, or even the in-game shop.
