Wicked Genshin Impact bug allows you to deal terrible, terrible damage to bosses

Genshin Impact players eagerly awaiting the 5.4 update in a week can currently exploit a surprising tactic to effortlessly defeat even the toughest bosses, regardless of their massive health pools. Ironically, this exploit centers around the Hydro Traveler, a character often deemed one of the game's weakest DPS options.

The exploit's simplicity is deceptive. Without delving into the game's code, the method involves the Hydro Traveler's Elemental Burst and the Xiao Lanterns acquired during the Lantern Rite Festival. The key is strategically placing a significant number of Xiao Lanterns near a boss. Activating the Hydro Traveler's Elemental Burst then triggers a dramatic reduction in the boss's health.

This unexpected effect stems from the Elemental Burst's amplified AoE damage when interacting with objects. Deploying a hundred lanterns, for example, can result in damage reaching into the millions.

While this exploit is undoubtedly temporary and likely to be patched in a future update, it currently provides a remarkably easy way to conquer challenging boss encounters.
