Obtaining Nightmare Crownless: A Step-by-Step Guide

Unlocking Nightmare Crownless involves two key steps: completing the "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" quest and locating all four Dream Patrols.

1. Completing "Ruins Where Shadows Roam"

This quest isn't initiated via an NPC. Instead:

• Open your map.
• Locate the compass icon (top-left).
• Navigate to the Penitent's End region's Exploration Progress menu.
• Initiate "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" within this menu.

This quest is closely tied to the optional "Quest of Faith." To start "Quest of Faith":

• Find the Resonance Beacon across the broken bridge in Wailing Ascent.
• Interact with the prompt near the circular arena adjacent to the beacon.
• Engage in combat with a Questless Knight.

Defeating these knights requires strategy:

• Lure the knights near lit Macabre Torches within the arena.
• Relight extinguished torches by using Fae Ignis enemies.
• Avoid using high-damage skills near torches to prevent extinguishing them.

2. Locating the Dream Patrols

After completing "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" and "Quest of Faith," locate all four Dream Patrols in Penitent's End (see image above). While completing these patrols isn't mandatory for unlocking Nightmare Crownless, they offer valuable resources. Once all patrols are found, Nightmare Crownless will appear on your map within the ruins north of Penitent's End.

Important Note on Enhanced Absorption Charges
