Xbox Developer Direct 2025: A January Showcase of Upcoming Titles

Microsoft has announced the next Xbox Developer Direct, scheduled for January 23rd, marking the first Xbox game showcase of 2025. This will be the third annual Xbox Developer Direct event, following successful showcases in January 2023 and 2024.

The showcase, airing at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT on YouTube and Twitch, has already confirmed three exciting titles:

Confirmed Games:

• Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: A turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive, slated for a 2025 release and confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.
• Doom: The Dark Ages: The latest installment in the iconic Doom franchise from id Software, following its QuakeCon 2024 demo and rumored for a mid-2025 launch.
• South of Midnight: A stylish action-adventure game from Compulsion Games (creators of Contrast and We Happy Few), initially announced in June 2023. A release date is anticipated.

Beyond the Confirmed Lineup:

While these three titles are confirmed, previous Developer Directs have lasted over 40 minutes and featured multiple games. The 2024 event showcased titles like Avowed, Ara: History Untold, and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Therefore, expect additional surprises during the January 23rd broadcast.
