Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup of 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and revealing the games leaving the service this month. January is shaping up to be a strong month for subscribers.

The announcement, made via the official Xbox blog on January 7th, 2025, includes seven new games. Road 96, a choice-driven adventure, is immediately available across all Game Pass tiers (including PC Game Pass), marking its return to the service after a previous stint. Six additional games join the lineup later in the month:

New Games Arriving in January 2025:

  • Road 96: Available now (January 7th)
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview): Available January 8th
  • My Time at Sandrock: Available January 8th
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: Available January 8th
  • Rolling Hills: Available January 8th
  • UFC 5: Available January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate only)
  • Diablo: Available January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only)

The inclusion of Diablo and UFC 5 confirms earlier leaks. Note that access to Diablo and UFC 5 is limited to Game Pass Ultimate and, in Diablo's case, PC Game Pass subscribers. The remaining titles are available with a standard Game Pass subscription. Lightyear Frontier, a sci-fi title, remains in early access.

Beyond the games, several new Game Pass Ultimate Perks are also available as of January 7th, including a weapon charm for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Departing Games (January 15th):

Several titles will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:

  • Common'hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

This announcement covers only the first half of January. Further updates are expected soon for the latter half of the month and beyond.
