Xbox January Developer Direct Will Reveal a Surprise Game

Xbox's Developer_Direct returns January 23rd, 2025, showcasing highly anticipated titles, including a mystery game. This in-depth look at upcoming games will be presented by the developers themselves.

The event features four games:

• South of Midnight (Compulsion Games): An action-adventure game set in a mystical American South, where player Hazel uses magic ("Weaving") to combat mythical creatures after a hurricane transports her to another world. Release: 2025 on Xbox Series X|S and Steam.

• Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Sandfall Interactive): A turn-based RPG with real-time combat mechanics. Players join Gustave and Lune to stop the Paintress, who erases people annually. Release: 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Steam, and Epic Store.

• DOOM: The Dark Ages (id Software): A single-player first-person shooter prequel to Doom (2016), set in a techno-medieval world. The Doom Slayer battles hellish forces, utilizing a throwable shield and various weaponry. Release: 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Steam.

• Unnamed Surprise Game: Details are currently under wraps. This mystery game will be revealed during the event.
