Nintendo's upcoming title, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, slated for a September release, promises a fresh perspective on the beloved franchise. A recent ESRB rating reveals a key detail: players will control both Zelda and Link.

The ESRB listing confirms the game's E 10+ rating and absence of microtransactions. More importantly, it highlights the dual playable characters: Princess Zelda, in her first starring role, and the familiar hero, Link. The description states Zelda's quest to seal rifts across Hyrule and rescue Link. Gameplay mechanics differ between characters: Link wields sword and arrows, while Zelda uses a magic wand to summon creatures like wind-up knights and slime for combat. Enemies are defeated through various means, including fire and disintegration.
