Zenless Zone Zero 1.0 Tier List: December 24, 2024 Update

HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with unique mechanics and synergy potential. This tier list ranks all available Agents in ZZZ version 1.0, updated to reflect the current meta. Remember, tier lists are dynamic and subject to change with new content.

Note: The meta shifts constantly. Grace, once a top performer, has diminished in relevance due to the influx of new Anomaly units and the overwhelming power of Miyabi.

S-Tier: Top-Performing Agents

S-Tier Agents consistently excel in their roles and synergize effectively within teams.

  • Miyabi: Miyabi's swift Frost attacks and immense damage output make her a standout performer. While requiring strategic play, her potential is undeniable.

  • Jane Doe: A superior version of Piper, Jane Doe's critical hit potential on Assault Anomalies delivers significantly higher damage. Despite the inherent slowness of Anomaly builds, her power places her among the elite.

  • Yanagi: Yanagi's Disorder triggering ability shines, activating effects without requiring Shock alongside other Anomalies. This makes her an ideal partner for Miyabi.

  • Zhu Yuan: An exceptional DPS, Zhu Yuan's rapid Shotshell attacks are highly effective. She pairs well with Stun and Support characters, particularly Qingyi and Nicole in version 1.1.

  • Caesar: Caesar redefines the Defensive Agent role. She provides exceptional protection, powerful buffs and debuffs, and Impact-scaling crowd control, making her a top Support.

  • Qingyi: A versatile Stunner, Qingyi works seamlessly with Attack Agents. Her fluid movements and high Daze build-up, coupled with significant DMG multipliers on stunned enemies, make her a valuable asset.

  • Lighter: A Stun Agent with significant buffs, Lighter excels with Fire and Ice characters, making him a strong contender.

  • Lycaon: Lycaon's Ice-based Stun capabilities, combined with his ability to reduce Ice resistance and increase Daze DMG, make him essential for any Ice team.

  • Ellen: Ellen's Ice-based attacks synergize exceptionally well with Lycaon and Soukaku, delivering powerful damage, especially with her EX Special Attacks and Ultimate.

  • Harumasa: A free-to-obtain Electric Attack character, Harumasa delivers significant damage with the right build.

  • Soukaku: A strong Support, Soukaku buffs Ice units like Ellen and Lycaon, enhancing their Ice Anomaly application.

  • Rina: Rina provides significant DMG and PEN (Penetration), ignoring enemy defense. Her Shock Anomaly build-up and buffs make her valuable to Electric characters.

A-Tier: Strong Performers with Specific Synergies

A-Tier Agents are excellent within specific team compositions.

  • Nicole: Nicole's Ether Support abilities, including enemy pulling and Ether DMG/DEF buffs, are highly effective for AoE units like Nekomata but less impactful for non-Ether DPS.

  • Seth: A solid shield and support, but less impactful than top-tier buffers like Soukaku and Caesar, particularly for Anomaly DPS.

  • Lucy: Lucy's off-field DMG and ATK% buff make her a valuable Support, especially when synergizing with other characters.

  • Piper: While her kit centers around her EX Special Attack, Piper's Assault Anomaly build-up is powerful, especially with other Anomaly units.

  • Grace: Grace remains relevant for Anomaly build-up, particularly with synergistic characters, but her position has decreased due to newer Anomaly Agents.

  • Koleda: A reliable Fire/Stun character, Koleda works well in teams with other Fire Agents, particularly Ben, enhancing her moveset.

  • Anby: Anby is a reliable Stun unit, but her susceptibility to interruption holds her back compared to other Stunners.

  • Soldier 11: Soldier 11 deals substantial DMG but lacks complexity, making her straightforward to play.

B-Tier: Niche Utility

B-Tier Agents have some utility but are outperformed by others in their roles.

  • Ben: Ben's defensive capabilities are fun but lack significant team benefits outside his Crit Rate buff. His slow speed and reliance on parrying hinder his overall effectiveness.

  • Nekomata: Nekomata's AoE DMG potential is hampered by her reliance on team synergy and limited supportive options within her Element and Faction. Future updates may improve her standing.

C-Tier: Currently Underperforming

C-Tier Agents currently offer limited value compared to other options.

  • Corin: Corin's Physical DMG output is outclassed by other Physical Attack units like Nekomata and Piper.

  • Billy: Billy's DMG output is insufficient, even in quick-swap teams.

  • Anton: Anton's Shock DMG potential is limited by his low DPS and single-target focus.
