Zenless Zone Zero Unleashes New Event in V1.5 Update

A leaked Zenless Zone Zero update reveals a new Version 1.5 event featuring a Fall Guys-style multiplayer platformer game mode. This temporary event, tentatively titled "Grand Marcel," is expected to launch alongside the late January update, which includes new characters Astra Yao and Evelyn.

Version 1.4 recently introduced two permanent battle-focused modes. However, Zenless Zone Zero frequently adds limited-time events with unique gameplay mechanics, such as the current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" tower defense event. This new platformer mode, according to leaker Palito, will offer several stages reminiscent of Fall Guys. The leak includes screenshots showcasing these stages.

While the event's duration is uncertain, it's anticipated to offer rewards like Polychromes and potentially additional free pulls, as previously rumored for Version 1.5. Whether players will control their standard characters or Bangboo remains unclear.

This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events. Honkai Impact 3rd's 2022 "Midnight Chronicle" event utilized similar Fall Guys-inspired gameplay, featuring chibi character versions. This precedent suggests a similar approach might be taken in Zenless Zone Zero, although the popularity of Bangboo characters might influence the final decision. The current "Hollow Zero" mode already allows Bangboo gameplay, fueling fan demand for expanded opportunities.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 is scheduled for January 22nd and will also introduce Astra Yao and Evelyn, along with potentially a character skin for Nicole and an Agent Story for Ellen, as suggested by previous leaks.
