Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, some side tasks are easy to miss, and missing them can result in failing the task since you can’t return. One such side task is finding Rosa’s book. Knowing where to look is crucial for successfully completing this quest.

Unlocking the Rosa’s Book Side Quest

Before Rosa asks you to find her book, you must complete the quest “Via Argentum” and start “Taking French Leave.” After helping the Ruthard family deal with Vavak, either through force or persuasion, you are directed to speak with Rosa. She informs you about a secret passage into Maleshov that you can use to rescue Hans. During this conversation, Rosa will ask you to retrieve a book for her while you're in Maleshov. Be sure to ask her which book it is and promise to bring it back to start the “Rosa’s Book” side quest.

This quest must be completed during “Taking French Leave.” If you leave Maleshov with Hans without finding the book, the quest fails, and you’ll miss the opportunity to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your way to Hans’ room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Sneak inside and locate another set of stairs near a small kitchen. Hide in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where you’ll find Lady Ofka sitting by the fireplace. Approach her from behind and knock her out. Take the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. In this room, you will also find Rosa’s book. Look to the right of the fireplace, where you’ll spot a red book in the window alcove. Pick it up, and your objective will update to return the book to Rosa.

While in the area, enter the next room and take another sword from the chest. This will save you time when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. After collecting the items, head to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

After the cutscene, continue with “Taking French Leave.” Hans may not want to use the passageway, but you can work towards romancing him by choosing the dialogue option with a heart, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as needed. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

Once you open the gate, another cutscene will play, concluding the quest. After it ends, return to Kuttenberg City and visit Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa’s book in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
