• Tame a Pet: You'll receive a quest that introduces you to pet taming, but here's the gist:

  • Find an animal you want to tame, such as a Deer, Wolf, or Spider.
  • Attack it once.
  • Hold a food item that the animal likes (e.g., Apples for Deer, Raw Deer Meat for Wolves).
  • Watch for a Heart to appear above the animal's head, indicating a taming attempt.
  • If the heart fully grows, the animal will become your pet.

Finish the Mount Quest

Accept the "Jimmy's Delivery" quest and head north through Wayshire's northern entrance. Follow the road and climb over the hill into Greatwood Forest. Be cautious as the mobs here can be challenging. Continue north until you reach Ashenshire, recognizable by the large houses perched on towering trees.

Locate a rope to climb up and interact with it. Once at the top, the first NPC you'll encounter is Madonna the Stable Master. There won't be a quest marker above her, so simply talk to her and select "I have a package for you." She will accept the package. To complete the quest, return to Wayshire by backtracking south from Ashenshire.

Upon your return, speak with Jimmy the Stable Master (marked by an exclamation point above his head). He will reward you with a Saddle, which won't appear in your inventory to prevent accidental loss or sale.

How to mount your pet in Rune Slayer

With the saddle secured, summon your pet by holding "T". Approach your pet, and you'll see an option to "Mount". Press "E" to mount your pet. This method works for all mountable pets in Rune Slayer.
