HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, has been busy! Their upcoming game, initially known as Astaweave Haven, has received a significant makeover, even before its official unveiling. The game is undergoing changes, and hopefully, these improvements will enhance the overall experience.
For those unfamiliar, Astaweave Haven (now Petit Planet) was generating buzz amongst gacha and RPG enthusiasts. While official details remain scarce, it's anticipated to deviate from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha titles.
Instead of another open-world gacha adventure, Astaweave Haven is poised to be a life-simulation or management game, drawing comparisons to popular titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This leads us to the exciting news: the game's new name – Petit Planet!
The name change is a welcome one. "Petit Planet" evokes a charming and approachable image, hinting at its management sim nature rather than a traditional MiHoYo gacha RPG.
Release Date Uncertainty
Currently, there's no official release date. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile platforms in July. However, HoYoVerse recently (October 31st) registered "Petit Planet," and the new name awaits US and UK approval.
Given MiHoYo's rapid development and release schedule (consider the quick succession of Zenless Zone Zero after Honkai: Star Rail), we can anticipate a relatively swift launch once the name change is finalized. The community's reaction to this rebranding is discussed in this Reddit thread.
In the meantime, stay tuned for further updates on Petit Planet (formerly Astaweave Haven), and check out our coverage of Arknights Episode 14, featuring new stages and operators.
