Assassin's Creed Shadows: A New Recruit
Mackenyu Arata as Gennojo

Mackenyu will provide both the Japanese and English voice acting for Gennojo, a key figure in Assassin's Creed Shadows' feudal Japan setting. Ubisoft describes Gennojo as a complex character, a "charming rogue" and "trickster," motivated by a strong sense of justice and a desire to overthrow corruption. He's characterized by his wit, charisma, and a willingness to risk everything for his cause, particularly to aid the vulnerable.
While the exact timing of Gennojo's appearance remains undisclosed, his role in the game's missions is confirmed to be significant. According to Mackenyu, Gennojo is a member of the "Shinobi League" and can be recruited as a companion, aiding the player throughout their adventure.
