However, with Immersive Mode activated, the game shifts gears to provide a more authentic experience. This mode locks the voiceover language to Japanese, reflecting the historical setting accurately. Additionally, you'll hear Portuguese spoken by Jesuits and Yasuke when interacting with them, adding another layer of realism.
This feature significantly enhances the immersion, making *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* feel more connected to the historical period it portrays. While previous games allowed for some level of immersion through language options, like the Arabic dub in *Mirage*, Immersive Mode in *Shadows* represents a significant advancement for the franchise.
