First Bird Pokémon Lands in Pokémon GO at Catch Mastery Event!

If you're an avid Pokémon GO player, get ready for some exciting events on the horizon, including the Catch Mastery event. Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event is a part of the latter and promises some thrilling gameplay.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

The Catch Mastery event kicks off on March 16th, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event focuses on Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During the event, you'll see increased spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with the chance to encounter their Shiny versions.

Archen will be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering a Shiny Archen. Additionally, the event offers some great XP bonuses: you'll earn double XP for Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws.

There's also Timed Research associated with the event, centered around catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, which will reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon

Following the Catch Mastery event, the Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, Absol will gain a new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Once the event begins, Absol will permanently have access to this move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. You'll also have the opportunity to obtain up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing you a total of six for the day.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out Pokémon GO on the Google Play Store.
