Boss battles, Mechagodzilla and Kong: details on the Fortnite and Monsterverse collaboration

The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, slated for release in Fortnite on January 17th, has had its details prematurely revealed through recent online leaks. Epic Games preemptively released an update containing the content, allowing dataminers to uncover the specifics.

Beyond the standard Godzilla skin obtainable via the battle pass, players can acquire a bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. This bundle boasts unique jetpacks and pickaxes tailored to each character.

A new boss event will also launch concurrently on January 17th. One player will transform into a colossal Godzilla, unleashing atomic breath and other abilities. Players must collaborate to defeat this formidable foe. The player inflicting the most damage will earn a medallion granting a unique in-game perk.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available at the usual in-game store times, priced as follows:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
  • Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete bundle: 2800 V-bucks

Separately, the popular virtual singer Hatsune Miku appears to be making a Fortnite appearance. Social media interactions between Hatsune Miku's official account and the Fortnite Festival account hint at her arrival. The suggestion of a missing backpack, followed by Fortnite's confirmation of possession, strongly indicates an upcoming collaboration.

Beyond a standard Vocaloid skin, expect a stylized pickaxe and a "Miku the Catgirl" skin variant, along with a virtual Hatsune Miku concert.
