Code Geass: Lost Stories Ending Its Global Journey On Mobile Soon!

The strategic tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global mobile run. While the Japanese version will continue, the international servers are closing. Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, based on the popular Code Geass franchise, the game's global launch in September 2023 was short-lived.

Shutdown Date:

Code Geass: Lost Stories will shut down globally on August 29th, 2024. Account access will be terminated after this date, and official social media channels will also close. Downloads and in-app purchases are already disabled.

Reason for Closure:

While the developers haven't explicitly stated the reason, low download numbers and generally unfavorable global reviews likely contributed to the decision. Many licensed anime gacha games struggle to maintain a substantial player base outside Japan, where player spending tends to be higher. The game's combination of RPG, action, and tower defense elements, while potentially appealing, wasn't enough to overcome these challenges.

The game remains available in Japan via the Google Play Store. For players interested in exploring other games, check out the latest news on Sky: Children of the Light's Tournament of Triumph!
