Owlcat Games has thrilled fans with the announcement of their latest venture into the Warhammer 40,000 universe: *Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy*. Following the success of *Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader*, this new cRPG promises to immerse players in the grimdark world of the Imperium as an Inquisitor, one of its most feared enforcers. Unveiled at the Warhammer Skulls 2025 showcase, the game offers a deep narrative-driven experience set during the tumultuous times of the Noctis Aeterna and the enigma of the Tyrant Star.

In *Dark Heresy*, players will take on the role of an acolyte of the Inquisition, leading a diverse warband in a relentless fight against heresy and corruption. This team will include characters ranging from a battle-hardened Guardsman from the death world of Catachan to exotic xenos like a Kroot mercenary. The game will feature intricate investigations, a strategic turn-based combat system, and impactful choices, all set to deliver a rich, atmospheric experience that delves into the brutal and mystical world of the Inquisition. *Dark Heresy* builds upon the foundation laid by *Rogue Trader*, with fully voiced dialogues enhancing the immersive storytelling.

*Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy* is slated for release on PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. While a specific release window remains under wraps, anticipation is already building among fans eager to explore this shadowy corner of the Warhammer universe.

Owlcat also provided exciting updates for *Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader*. The second major story expansion, *Lex Imperialis*, is set to launch on June 24, 2025. This 15-hour storyline introduces players to the Adeptus Arbites, the Imperium's incorruptible enforcers, and a new companion, the stern Solomorne Anthar. With the addition of battle Familiars such as cybernetic eagles and cyber-mastiffs, *Lex Imperialis* aims to deepen the narrative and gameplay experience of *Rogue Trader*.

Additionally, Owlcat announced *Season Pass 2* for *Rogue Trader*, which includes two new expansions and an appearance customization pack. The third expansion will take players into a Necron vault managed by the enigmatic Trazyn the Infinite, where they will confront ancient guardians and seek out relics linked to the Von Valancius legacy. The fourth expansion, titled *Processional of the Damned*, invites players to navigate a surreal voidship graveyard, promising a journey into madness and mystery. Both expansions will introduce new companions, quests integrated into the main storyline, new mechanics, and approximately 15 hours of additional gameplay each.
