Schedule I Developer Update
TVGS Gets a Studio and a Developer
Schedule I released a new developer update, with TVGS (Tyler’s Video Game Studio) now broadening its operations to an office located in Sydney and a new developer named Rob, as mentioned in a recent post on Steam. The developer noted that he is currently hiring more staff, starting with a 3D technical artist, and aims to have four individuals working on Schedule I by the end of 2026.
Sharing images of his newly relocated office, most fans applauded the developer for growing his solo indie studio. Others quickly began asking for TVGS to be available on consoles and translated into other languages due to the expansion.
The developer previously showed interest in bringing Schedule I to consoles in a Reddit post from March 2025, provided that Sony and Microsoft approve. This task would not be complicated, according to TVGS, as the game's engine (Unity) allows for easy switching to other platforms, with only controller support and optimization needing attention.
However, he mentioned that realistically, these ports can only begin once the game exits Steam Early Access, due to the time required for testing and releasing updates across three platforms.
Regarding translations, work will also start after the full release, as stated in the FAQ channel on the game's Discord server. The game currently only supports English, and with many non-native speakers playing, there is strong demand for localization that TVGS’s limited capacity can manage.
With a new developer joining TVGS and more to come, Schedule I is likely to offer more regular updates, although it remains unrealistic to expect every fan request to be fulfilled. Additionally, even though "Tyler’s Video Game Studio" has grown into a two-person team, the developer doesn’t seem to be speeding up development, as the upcoming teased major update will still follow the usual release schedule.
Next Major Update by Late February
After getting the new developer on board, TVGS plans to start working on the next major update for Schedule I. For now, they have decided to keep details and the exact release date confidential, but it is expected that work will be completed by late February.
Previous major content updates for Schedule I, such as v0.4.0 Rival Cartel and v0.4.2 Shrooms, were all determined through in-game community votes. Since TVGS has chosen to keep what's coming a secret, it's unclear if another vote will be held for the February update at this time.
That said, assuming it is a major content update, there are three options remaining from the two community polls that could be what they're working on:
● Police Expansion
● Hireable Drivers
● Fishing Mini-game
Looking at the publicly available Schedule I Roadmap on Trello, features listed in the developer’s monthly update ideas relate to these possibilities, such as police interaction/bribery, raids, evidence rooms, hireable drivers and logistic workers, fishing, and more. Other features mentioned on the roadmap include map expansions toward the north-east and south-west, parkour, property customization, weather, and even a shooting range minigame.
Proper Mod Support and Bug Fixes
Before diving into this major update, TVGS mentioned that they will first focus on releasing a patch centered around bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. After that, they will clean up and restructure the codebase of Schedule I, which they believe is essential for future mod support.
No specific details have been shared about what will be addressed in the next minor patch update, but excited fans can expect it to be among the first of many tasks TVGS will handle in 2026.
