Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet Launches in Rec Room

Apr 07,2025 Author: Samuel

Get ready for an exciting crossover as gaming platform Rec Room collaborates with Bungie to introduce Destiny 2 to a new audience. The latest venture, named Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet, seamlessly merges the sci-fi universe of Destiny 2 with Rec Room's community-centric environment.

Destiny 2, an FPS MMO crafted by Bungie, first hit the scene in 2017. In this game, you step into the shoes of a guardian with the power to harness elemental forces, tasked with safeguarding humanity and exploring the vastness of the solar system. Since its debut, Destiny 2 has evolved through yearly expansions and quarterly seasons, each bringing fresh narratives and challenges like raids and dungeons. The most recent season, The Final Shape, kicked off earlier this month.

Starting July 11th, Rec Room users will have the chance to explore a meticulously recreated Destiny Tower, a landmark from the game. Available across console, PC, VR, and mobile platforms, this immersive experience lets you train as a Guardian, embark on epic quests, and connect with fellow Destiny 2 enthusiasts.

Alongside the adventure, Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet introduces a range of cosmetics inspired by the three Destiny classes: Hunter, Warlock, and Titan. You can grab the Hunter set and weapon skins right away, with the Titan and Warlock sets slated for release in the coming weeks.

Rec Room is a dynamic online platform where you can craft and share games, rooms, and various content without any coding knowledge. It's available for free on Android, iOS, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox X, Xbox One, Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, and PC via Steam.

For more details on Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet and to stay updated, check out Rec Room's official website or follow them on Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, X (Twitter), or join their Discord community.
