Initially announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed to have an eight-episode first season. While plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, it appears to feature Dante from the era of the first three Devil May Cry games, though any direct game connections are yet to be officially confirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who famously voices Nero in the video game franchise.
The most recent Devil May Cry game, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return for the series after a period of relative inactivity following 2013's DmC: Devil May Cry. Critically acclaimed as a top-tier action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2.
