In our review of Devil May Cry Season 1, we noted: "Though not flawless, with awkward CG, weak humor, and predictable characters, Adi Shankar and Studio Mir deliver an entertaining video-game adaptation. It’s a chaotic, bold tribute to and critique of '00s Americana."

The renewal of Devil May Cry for Season 2 is no shock, as creator Adi Shankar had previously hinted at a multi-season storyline.
