Squad Busters is ditching win streaks! Get ready for major changes coming December 16th. The developers are removing the win streak system because it created unnecessary pressure and frustration for many players, rather than the intended feeling of accomplishment.

Why the Change and When?

The win streak system is being eliminated to improve the overall player experience. While your highest win streak will remain on your profile as a record, the feature itself is going away on December 16th.

To compensate for this change, players who reached certain win streak milestones (0-9, 10, 25, 50, and 100) before December 16th will receive exclusive emotes. Unfortunately, there will be no refunds for coins previously spent on win streak boosts. The developers explain that this would disrupt the game's balance between free and paid players.

Player reactions are mixed. Some welcome the change, seeing it as a move away from a pay-to-win environment. Others are less enthusiastic, especially given the relatively modest compensation.
