The acclaimed French studio Don't Nod, known for Life is Strange, has launched the inaugural chapter of its latest narrative adventure. Tape 1 is playable now, with Tape 2 scheduled for a free release to all owners on April 15.
Initially unveiled in 2023, this title chronicles the story of a tight circle of friends who were mysteriously separated in the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specters of that pivotal season resurface, unleashing terrifying repercussions none of them could have predicted.
Inspired by works like *It*, *Yellowjackets*, and *I Know What You Did Last Summer*, the game expertly fuses nostalgic atmosphere with psychological suspense. The development is structured in two distinct volumes: Bloom and Rage. As of February 18, only the first volume of this eerie story is accessible.
The concluding section, internally called "The Tape," is now confirmed for an April 15 release. The date was shifted from its original March target to allow for additional refinement.
Critical reviews are now live. According to OpenCritic, the title holds a solid aggregate critic rating of 74 out of 100, a promising debut for this compelling mystery.
