- A shocking incident - someone's been pushed from a window, and all fingers point at you
- Every decision you make shapes the fate of those around you
- Experience unique storylines with each playthrough
Miss Mulligatawney's prestigious boarding school faces a scandal. When a prefect tumbles from a window, you're the prime suspect. In Expelled! - the latest mystery from inkle (creators of Overboard!) - you have just one day to prove your innocence or frame someone else.
Set in April 1922, Expelled! stars Verity Amersham (voiced by Amelia Tyler of Baldur's Gate 3), a scholarship student at an elite academy. After years keeping her head down, Verity finds herself accused of attempted murder - and must now break every rule to survive.
This isn't your typical dialogue-driven adventure. Every action carries weight - where you go, who you confront, even what you choose to observe. Characters roam the school independently, reacting to your behavior in real-time. Potential allies might expose you, while enemies could become unexpected confidantes. Who truly has your back?
Play the victim or become the villain - the choice is yours. Fabricate alibis, blackmail classmates, or shift blame to others. The more rules you break, the more possibilities emerge.
While playthroughs last 30-45 minutes, each session offers fresh discoveries. Your decisions unlock new clues, alternate endings, and buried secrets. Why is the cellar off-limits? What's your closest friend hiding? Survive expulsion and you might even compete for Head Girl honors.
Featured on our must-play mobile narrative games list, Expelled! features an original jazz soundtrack with recordings by George Gershwin, Louis Armstrong, and Bessie Smith.
The game launches March 12th on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
