Fortnite: Mask On or Off?

In Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1, a unique challenge offers players a choice, a rarity in typical Fortnite quest structures. This guide explains how to complete the quest requiring you to "decide to use the Mask or rid yourself of it."

The second set of weekly quests introduces a twist: locate a hidden workshop, visit Kento twice, and investigate a Portal. However, the challenge of collecting a Fire Oni Mask or a Void Oni Mask is relatively straightforward. Masks are frequently found throughout the game world and on eliminated players. Acquiring one for the 25k XP reward shouldn't be difficult. However, the subsequent quest requires a crucial step before leaving the match.

Upon picking up a Mask, a new quest appears: "decide to use the Mask or rid yourself of it." This seemingly cryptic instruction simply means either utilize the Mask's power or remove it from your inventory.

While keeping the Mask is an option, using it immediately is recommended. Other players aggressively pursue these Masks, making it wise to use yours and secure the XP before being eliminated. This avoids the need to search for another Mask in a subsequent match.
