Lenovo clarifies recent rumors: No Halo 5 PC port is imminent. A promotional image for the Lenovo Legion Go S showcasing Halo 5: Guardians on Steam was, in fact, a design mockup, not a leak.
This leaves Halo 5: Guardians as the only mainline Halo title absent from PC, a notable omission given the PC release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and the 2016 launch of the Halo 5 Forge editor for PC. While the lack of a full PC port is puzzling to many fans, Lenovo's swift denial of the purported leak effectively quells current speculation. The promotional image remains on the Lenovo website, further suggesting it was an unintentional error.
However, the possibility of a future PC port isn't entirely extinguished. Microsoft's increased focus on the PC gaming market in recent years leaves open the possibility of a future release. Currently, though, there's no official confirmation or concrete evidence to support this.
The future of the Halo franchise is also uncertain. While Halo Infinite continues to receive updates, calls for new entries are growing within the community. Speculation about a potential Combat Evolved remake and even a possible Master Chief Collection port to PlayStation adds further intrigue to the franchise's trajectory. These are, however, just rumors at this stage.
