HandyGames Unveils Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT for Mobile

Get ready, mobile gamers! The expansive, thrilling world of Way of the Hunter: Wild America is making its way to your smartphones. Originally launched by Nine Rocks Games on PC and consoles back in August 2022, this hunting simulation is now set to captivate mobile users with its open-world adventures.

Will You Get Everything in Way of the Hunter Mobile?

While mobile versions might come with some graphical compromises due to the limitations of mobile devices, rest assured that the core gameplay, including future DLCs, will be available post-launch. Currently, the mobile port is in its beta phase, and both THQ Nordic and HandyGames are gearing up for a full release soon. Interested in trying it out early? HandyGames has announced a closed beta test (CBT) via a tweet, and you can sign up using the form on their official X account.

Is It the Best Hunting Sim?

Way of the Hunter isn't just another hunting game; it's a test of patience and strategy, where you'll track animals that mimic real-world wildlife behaviors. With a sprawling 55-square-mile map inspired by landscapes from the USA and Europe, this game offers an immersive playground for hunters. You'll have access to an arsenal of authentic weapons, from rifles to bows, and you can even use forensic techniques like analyzing blood splatter to track your prey.

The game's ecosystem dynamically responds to your actions. Overhunting in one area will drive the wildlife away, challenging you to adapt your strategy. Moreover, Way of the Hunter includes an in-game economy where you can sell meat to upgrade your gear, purchase hunting passes, and collect taxidermy trophies for your lodge. Whether you're playing the campaign mode solo or teaming up in co-op, the mobile version will support full controller compatibility.
