Imperial Miners Board Game Goes Digital on Android

Portal Games Digital has recently released the digital adaptation of Imperial Miners, a highly anticipated card game centered around mine-building, exclusively on Android. Known for their engaging titles like Neuroshima Convoy, Imperial Settlers: Roll & Write, and Tides of Time, Portal Games Digital continues to expand its portfolio with this immersive experience.

Designed by Tim Armstrong, the creative mind behind acclaimed games such as Arcana Rising and Orbis, Imperial Miners combines strategic depth with artistic flair. The artwork is brought to life by Hanna Kuik, whose credits include Batman: Everybody Lies and Dune: House Secrets.

Ever Played Imperial Miners?

Set in an underground world, players assume the role of excavators tasked with constructing the most efficient mine possible. By strategically placing cards and managing resources, you build a thriving subterranean empire. Starting at the surface, your journey takes you deeper into the earth, where you gather precious Crystals and fill Carts to earn Victory Points.

The game features a unique mechanic: every card you play activates its effect and triggers any cards stacked above it. With six distinct factions available, you can create powerful combinations to dominate the mine. However, success requires more than just card placement—it involves navigating ten rounds filled with unexpected Events. While some Events enhance your strategy, others may disrupt your plans entirely.

As you delve deeper, you also advance on Progress boards. In each round, three out of six randomly selected boards present varying strategic opportunities, ensuring that no two games are alike.

Will You Get It?

A clever engine-builder, Imperial Miners offers a captivating journey into the heart of your own mine. The digital version mirrors the charm of its tabletop counterpart, available for $4.99 on the Google Play Store. Be sure to explore our other articles for more exciting content.
