The iPhone 16e: A Budget-Friendly Apple Smartphone Now Available for Preorder
Apple's latest offering, the iPhone 16e, is officially available for preorder! Launching February 28th, this device blends smartphone, iPod, and internet communication capabilities at an attractive price point. Available in black or white, starting at $599, it's the most affordable iPhone 16 model. Read on for complete preorder details.
Where to Preorder the iPhone 16e

Preorders began February 21st. You can secure yours from Apple, Best Buy, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. The iPhone 16e succeeds the iPhone SE (last updated in 2022), offering a closer design and specification match to the standard iPhone 16, albeit at a lower price than both the standard iPhone 16 ($799) and the iPhone 15 ($699).
iPhone 16e Specifications

The iPhone 16e features a 6.1-inch OLED display with a traditional notch (unlike the "Dynamic Island" of the standard iPhone 16). It utilizes the same A18 chip as its pricier sibling but includes a 4-core GPU (one less than the standard model). While potentially slightly less powerful, it supports Apple Intelligence and all iOS 18 AI features. Apple's new C1 cellular modem promises improved power efficiency and extended battery life (up to 26 hours of video playback compared to 22 hours on the standard model).
However, the iPhone 16e lacks MagSafe compatibility, meaning no magnetic charging. While Qi wireless charging is supported, the magnetic attachment is absent. Color options are limited to black and white.
Preorder Bonus: Discounted Screen Protector

Amazon offers a 40% discount on the amFilm iPhone 16e Tempered Glass Screen Protector, bringing the price down to $5.99 with the code "5PIM3OFI". This protector includes an auto-aligner and camera lens protection.
