January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack
The gacha gaming market continues to generate significant revenue, with January 2025 figures revealing some interesting trends. Genshin Impact's latest update, featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, proved incredibly successful. Data indicates miHoYo (HoYoverse) more than doubled its revenue, reaching a staggering $99.4 million compared to $45.6 million in December 2024.

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokemon TCG secured second place with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, rounded out the top three, generating $55.2 million.
Honkai Star Rail experienced a decline in earnings, dropping to $50.8 million. Zenless Zone Zero also saw a significant decrease, with revenue halved from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.
It's important to note that this ranking considers only mobile platform revenue. While some games, such as miHoYo's titles, also have PC versions, these are excluded from the figures. Furthermore, the data acknowledges a methodological consideration: "Due to the absence of Google Play in China, Android revenue estimates for China are derived using a multiplier based on iOS revenue within the country."
