The White Wolf returns for his final adventure as production for the fifth and concluding season of *The Witcher* is now underway. Exciting new set photos have emerged, giving fans a glimpse of Liam Hemsworth stepping into the iconic role of Geralt de Rivia. These images, which have surfaced on the dedicated fan site Redanian Intelligence, showcase Hemsworth fully transformed with Geralt's signature long blonde hair. Alongside him, familiar faces such as Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier are seen, both of whom have been integral to the series since Henry Cavill's tenure as the lead. Hemsworth was confirmed to take over the role from Cavill starting in Season 4 and continuing through to the final Season 5, announced back in October 2022.
The set photos also introduce new characters set to appear in Season 4 and continue into the final season. Notably, the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in *Morbius*, will portray Emiel Reigs. These leaks suggest that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski’s *Tower of the Swallow*, potentially featuring Geralt's interactions with beekeepers and druids. However, with Season 4 still unreleased, the narrative could take many turns, leaving much to be anticipated before the puzzle pieces can be fully assembled.
Henry Cavill isn't the only departure from the series; Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor and father figure Vesemir, will also not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia's replacement for the role, and an official release date for Season 4 remains undisclosed.
