Marvel Rivals Reverses Course on Player Rank Reset

Dev Talk 11: Updates on Seasonal Rank Adjustments

In a swift response to fan backlash, Marvel Rivals has announced a significant change to their seasonal rank adjustments. Following the outcry after Dev Talk 10, which proposed a mid-season rank reset that would drop players four divisions every 45 days, the developers have listened to the community's concerns.

With the release of Dev Talk 11, Marvel Rivals has officially backtracked on the mid-season rank reset. Players will now retain their scores and ranks from the first half of the season. However, the end-of-season reset will still occur, with players dropping six divisions.

Despite the reversal on rank resets, Marvel Rivals continues to roll out exciting updates. The much-anticipated addition of Human Torch and The Thing will expand the hero roster to 39 characters. As previously announced by NetEase Games, the game will introduce two new playable characters each season, which lasts three months.

Rewards for players reaching Gold rank and above remain intact. Those who achieve Gold rank or higher will receive a free Invisible Woman costume, while players ranked Grandmaster and above will be awarded Crests of Honor. At the end of the season, new rewards will be available, including another free costume for Gold rank players and additional Crests of Honor for those at Grandmaster level and above.

While balance adjustments are expected post mid-season update, specific details have yet to be disclosed.
